Bringing Oral Healthcare to Those Who Need It Most
Join us to restore smiles, dignity, and hope for refugees, displaced families, and underserved communities around the world.
Founder’s Perspective
Honoring the legacy of Deah, Yusor, and Razan by advancing oral health for those most in need.
About Us
At DYOR Clinic, we believe oral health is a vital part of overall well-being—but for many refugees, low-income individuals, and displaced families, access to oral healthcare remains out of reach. Untreated dental issues can lead to pain, infection, and difficulties that impact everyday life, from eating and speaking to maintaining employment and self-confidence.
DYOR Clinic was founded in honor of Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha, and Razan Abu-Salha, whose lives were tragically lost in the 2015 Chapel Hill shooting. Deah and Yusor, both dental students, were deeply committed to caring for underserved communities, while Razan shared their passion for meaningful service.
We carry their legacy forward by combining high-quality, compassionate dental care with community outreach—uplifting those who need it most and inspiring a culture of service and empathy. Our outreach programs focus primarily on oral healthcare awareness and prevention, ensuring that education and access go hand in hand. Through every smile we restore and every person we serve, we strive to build a stronger, healthier, and more equitable community in their memory.
